About

Jennifer and Jérémy met in 2015 as they both joined a professional live band in the region of Toulouse (France). She was a singer and he was a guitar player and a singer. Sharing immediately a good musical feeling, they decided to work together and create the acoustic duo Miar, to play in bars and clubs. Starting already with a very large set list, mixing the oldies influences of Jennifer and the pop/folk aspirations of Jérémy, Miar seduced very fast all generations. Then, their performances diversified and they started to play for private parties (weddings, birthdays…) and to collaborate with event companies.

In 2016, as the live band where they met stops its activity, Jennifer and Jérémy dedicated entirely to develop Miar and widen the set list even more.

With more than 500 concerts, Miar has made its own place as a valuable musical service provider, reliable and professional.

Jennifer

Jennifer Iglesias is a born-singer. Passionate about singing, she develops her vocal skills since always, with the best vocal references such as Withney Houston, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin…

Distant cousin of the famous Iglesias family (Julio, Enrique), she laughs at saying it’s in her blood! Jennifer grew up with her mother and her cartoonist stepfather, within a family where arts were well appreciated. She started studying visual communication and came to Toulouse to get more professional opportunities.

Always fan of music, she decided to go further only in 2014 and joined two bands simultaneously: a rock cover band and the professional live band wherein she met Jérémy.

When Miar raised, she continued to sing in the 3 projects and developed her skills on stage.

Strong of diverse experiences on stage and in the studio, Jennifer is now giving all of her time to music and develops also new projects such as vocal courses and coaching.

Jérémy

Jérémy Saouli started music by learning guitar in Paris. He started to sing almost immediately after his first chords and started to play the biggest pop/rock standards. At 13 years old, he joined the musical school’s live bands as a bass player and got his first experience on stage, with the most well-known pop/rock covers of Radiohead, Coldplay, Jeff Buckley...

Initially involved in scientist studies, he left Paris to Strasbourg 6 years later. In parallel to the Engineering School, he created a trio (vocal/guitar - bass - drum) and developed his own musical style with rearranged pop/folk covers.

He came to the region of Toulouse 3 years later to prepare a PhD in chemical synthesis. The first year, he joined the professional live band wherein he met Jennifer and they raised together the duo Miar.

After his PhD, Jérémy decided to dedicate himself only to music, thanks to the success of Miar and new musical projects. Ever since, he develops Miar and gets new skills with studio collaborations (guitar, bass, vocals, percussions), guitar lessons, and sound engineering...
